Account and data deletion
Expathy Client and PsyAccount users can request deletion without contacting support. The request permanently closes access to the account.
Expathy Client app
- Open the Expathy app and sign in.
- Open Profile, then select Delete Account.
- Review the warning, type DELETE exactly, and confirm.
PsyAccount therapist app
PsyAccount does not create therapist accounts inside the mobile app. Approved therapists can request deletion through the Expathy website:
- Sign in to Expathy on the web with your therapist account.
- Open Therapist Dashboard, Profile, then Account & Security.
- Select Delete Account, type DELETE exactly, and confirm.
What happens after a request
- Account access is closed, the profile is removed from active use, and the user is signed out.
- For Client accounts, identifying profile fields are removed and future bookings are cancelled. The same email address can be used for a new account after seven days.
- Booking, payment, credit, refund, security, and audit records may remain in restricted systems when required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or dispute purposes. For Client accounts, the email retained only in the deletion administration record is cleared at its ten-year legal-purge date.
Cannot access your account?
Email expathy@expathy.org from the address registered to your account and include “Account deletion request” in the subject line. We may ask you to verify account ownership before acting on the request.
