Courtney Gumson

I'm a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW, Maryland, USA) and Registered Counsellor with GBPCA, working under clinical supervision toward LCSW-C licensure. My background spans psychiatric inpatient care, community mental health, and case management, with training in ADHD and executive function, and an integrated approach drawing on CBT, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing. I work with adults dealing with anxiety, life transitions, burnout, and perfectionism, the kind of patterns that often show up first as a productivity problem and turn out to be something else underneath. Many of my clients are high-functioning and stretched thin, managing a lot while quietly running on empty. I'm based in Shenzhen, China, where I work with expat and English-speaking clients in person and via telehealth. I bring 16 years across international education and clinical social work, giving me direct insight into the academic and family pressures of raising kids, or being one, abroad.
